"Fond Memories" by Raimundo Madrazo (1841–1920)
This might be the place to start my spring break, remembering, in my armchair. Here is a poem by Eliza Cook (1818-1889) to go with this painting:
I love it, I love it,
And who shall dare
To chide me for loving
That old armchair?
I'm quite sure this lovely lady is just about to jump up and begin her spring cleaning, which, of course, is exactly what I plan on doing (ahem!) in just a moment, too. I won't be posting or visiting blogs for a week, or two, but I will be sparking from time to time, just to let you know how the spring cleaning is coming along, or if I am camping out in my very own backyard instead, or if, perhaps, I am still sitting in my old armchair, revisiting fond memories . . .
I hope you are spring-breaking, too!!
